Trinidad and Tobago had a great start as action in Table tennis got underway yesterday at the Central American and Caribbean Games(CAC) in Cartagena,Colombia.T&T whipped fancied Domincian Republic 3-1 in the men's division.

In Volleyball T&T men went under to Dom Rep 0-3, 22-25, 14-25, 18-25 While in Karate Brendon Strong put up a valiant fight but barely missing out on a medal finishing in 4th place inthe men's kumite. Strong broke his nose in the first round but fought valiantly. in the bronze medal round against Pan Am champion Rubel Salomon of the DR. The fight went into extra time and even then no decision could be made. Eventually a split decision went to Salomon.

T&T lost 31-5 to Cuba.
