(Port of Spain, Trinidad: 24thMay 2016): Trinidadian Sailor and Olympian Andrew Lewis is Flow’s newest sports brand ambassador. At a reception held at the Sailing Association in Chaguaramas earlier today, Flow, the local telecommunications provider announced that Lewis will be sporting the Flow logo on one of his laser vessels as he now joins track athletes Khalifa St Fort and Machel Cedenio on the company’s roster of brand ambassadors.

Andrew Lewis who competed at the World Champs in Mexico last weekend, his first competition since a life threatening accident in December 2015 said that he is excited by the possibilities of partnering with Flow. Lewis said, “Corporate partnerships are a critical part of success in sports, as not only does the funding support training and equipment, but in my case Flow is also putting its support behind my Foundation which provides opportunities to children in Trinidad and Tobago to learn about the prospects of sailing as a sporting career. I’d really like to thank the Flow team for getting behind me, especially after my accident and all that has happened, a vote of confidence like this is very encouraging to me.”

Flow’s Managing Director, Brian Collins was present to welcome Andrew to the team. Brian said, “I met Andrew for the first time last April when he joined us at our announcement to the Caribbean about our securing Broadcast and Streaming rights to the Rio Olympics which are now less than 100 days away. Andrew was cool, well dressed and extremely affable. Now we know more. Following his accident in December we’ve all come to know the survivor who is extremely passionate about life and his sport. It makes me proud that Flow is able to support Andrew’s career and his dream. I also want to tell fans that come August we will be offering two new ways to view the Olympics, one of which is a new app that will allow viewers around the Caribbean to be able to see regional athletes like Andrew as he competes. With the app viewers will be able to access the events that may be a little less popular globally, but no less important. We look forward to working with Andrew and supporting him in Rio.”
