The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee will send a team of 179 athletes to represent Team TTO at the 24th Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games scheduled to take place from 23rd June – 8th July 2023. This came following the TTOC executive committee’s selection process and ratification by the TTOC General council.

The Games will take place across two countries with El Salvador being the main host for the majority of sports with the Dominican Republic hosting the remainder.

TeamTTO will be one of 37 countries participating in 21 sports at the Games.

Annette Knott, TTOC/TTCGA Secretary General will travel as Chef De Mission as the experienced TTOC Senior Administrative Officer and Chef de Mission Lovie Santana-Duke was unable to travel to El Salvador.

Mrs. Knott will be supported by two assistant Chef de Missions due the size of the delegation. Ronda Clarke, a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Beach Handball Association will be based in San Salvador, El Salvador. The other assistant Chef de Mission Avion Ashton, a former national Hockey athlete will be based in Santo Domingo.

Diane Henderson, TTOC/TTCGA expressed her gratitude to Honourable Shamfa Cudjoe Minister of Sport and her team at the Ministry of Sport and Community Development for the financial support that ensured TEAM TTO 's participation at the Games.

“CAC Games success in certain sports will qualify athletes in those sports for the upcoming PanAm Games in Chile.” said Henderson.

Some of Team TTO’s top athletes including Jereem Richards, Nicholas Paul, Keshorn Walcott and Dylan Carter will be amongst the major medal contenders for TEAMTTO.

The size of the delegation demonstrates the full return to sport. Eight teams inclusive of five female teams will fly the red, white and black flag - Hockey, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball Netball and Rugby.
