The ANOC Executive Council today expressed its complete support of IOC President Thomas Bach and the Rio 2016 Organising Committee as it looks forward with optimism to the months ahead which will see NOCs make their final preparations for the Games.

The PASO Extraordinary General Assembly met in Brasilia on 5 May,2016, to discuss and decide upon the proposals for the amendments of their constitution. The meeting was chaired by the Interim President of PASO and ANOC Vice President for Americas, Dr. Julio C. Maglione and was attended by all 41 NOCs of PASO.

ANOC President visits Cuban National Olympic Committee

Havana, Cuba: ANOC President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah today concluded a two-day visit to Cuba where he met with Cuban National Olympic Committee President José Ramón Fernández Alvarez as well as Cuban Sports Minister Dr Antonio Becali and discussed the NOC's preparations for Rio 2016.
