            A      s we approach the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, it is with tremendous pride that I address you in this
                   commemorative magazine themed “Faster, Higher, Stronger”. Trinidad and Tobago's illustrious history in sports
                   is a testament to our athletes' determination and commitment to exceptional and consistent performance at
                   the highest level.

            Our nation's sporting legacy is rich with the remarkable feats of icons such as Hasley Crawford, Ato Boldon, George Bovell,
            Wendell Mottley, Rodney Wilkes, and many others. These trailblazers have brought glory to Trinidad and Tobago and
            inspired generations of young athletes to pursue greatness and strive for excellence on the world stage.

            This year's cohort of athletes, including Jereem Richards, Nicholas Paul, Dylan Carter, Zuri Ferguson and those yet to
            qualify, represent the new wave of Trinidad and Tobago’s sporting talent. Their dedication, hard work, and unwavering
            spirit must be recognized and commended. It is important to note that these athletes are not just competing for medals;
            they are ambassadors of our nation's culture, and indomitable spirit.
            Jereem Richards, with his extraordinary speed has consistently made significant strides in the world of athletics, bringing
            home medals and setting new records. Nicholas Paul, our formidable cyclist, has shown that he is a force to be reckoned
            with on the international stage with his impressive performances in track cycling. Dylan Carter, with his prowess in
            swimming and Zuri Ferguson, our young, female, phenomenal swim talent, exemplifies the unmatched brilliance and
            dedication that define Trinidad and Tobago.

            The journey to the Olympics involves great sacrifice, rigorous training, and unyielding perseverance. It demands physical
            strength and mental fortitude. Our athletes have faced numerous challenges and yet, have remained steadfast in their
            pursuit of excellence. Their achievements serve as a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration for all of us.
            As the Minister of Sport and Community Development, I am committed to supporting our athletes in every possible way.
            Our Government has worked diligently to provide the necessary funding, infrastructure and opportunities for our athletes
            to train and compete at the highest level. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence by ensuring these resources
            are available to help them achieve their dreams.

            The Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games offer a platform for our athletes to showcase their talents and bring pride to our
            nation. It is an opportunity for us, as a united country, to celebrate our shared heritage and to play a crucial role in
            supporting our athletes as they strive to make history. Our collective support is invaluable and can make a significant
            difference in their performance on the Olympic stage.

            I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our athletes, coaches, staff and parents for their dedication and hard work. Trinidad and
            Tobago stands behind you with immense pride and unwavering support.

            Let's come together to cheer on Team TTO at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games. May you all run faster, jump higher
            and grow stronger in pursuit of greatness and glory, while keeping the ideals of the Olympic spirit close to your hearts. Your
            contributions fortify our nation's pride, as you stand tall, proudly representing the red, white and black with honour and
            distinction.
