Group Fitness Leader Simone Gonzales of the Fitness Center Ltd, Leader of SG Fit Camp 2020 and her participants has made a donation of $10,709 to the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee #Teamttoathletewelfareandpreparationfund. Funds came from part proceeds of class payments and participants’ voluntary donation over a six week period from January to mid February 2020.
The fund initiative was also done in part to honor the late Mr. Brian Ibrahim of the Fitness Center Ltd chain of gyms in TnT, and his contribution to the fitness industry locally. His passing in late December 2019, spurred Ms Gonzales towards naming the donation “the Brian Ibrahim Fund” which fits into her camps mission “Let Fitness Make the Difference”.
Simone hopes that the contribution even though it may not match that of larger contributing companies, that ‘little by little fills the bucket’. Together with the Fitness Center ltd, she intends on keeping her camp each year and making charitable yearly donations.
Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee President in thanking Ms Gonzales on behalf of Team TTO athletes expressed his admiration of the contribution the late Brian Ibrahim would have made to the sport and fitness industry in Trinidad and Tobago. He congratulated SG Fit Camp and Ms Gonzales for supporting the #10golds24 vision .
