TTOC President Larry Romany says things are going well in Seoul.Romany is in Korea attending the Association of National Olympic Committees(ANOC) General Assembly,IOC Executive board meeting with National Olympic Committees (NOC)and Sport Accord Convention.

While noting that it is very cold and the days are long as meetings run from 8am to 9pm .The TTOC Head reported that far from being a talk shop there are meaningful opportunites to come away with important insight,information and access.

The senior T&T Olympic official revealed that he has held progressive discussions with regard to TTOC's Beijing 2008 campaign. He however deferred providing greater details until his return to Trinidad.

Romany asserted that the TTOC is entering a crucial phase ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

"Beijing is in our sight line . Athletes wanting to qualify for Beijing have to step up and perform at upcoming CAC and Pan Am Games.While the athletes are doing their part ,We(TTOC) must step up administratively to sustain the environment that will enable our athletes to perform at their best with no excuses ".

The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will meet in Seoul, Korea, from 5 to 7 April 2006. Meetings will take place at the COEX Convention Centre and the Grand Intercontinental Hotel, where the SportAccord Convention will also be held during the same period.

On the first day, the EB will meet with the National Olympic Committees, which will have held their General Assembly earlier in the week, and the International Federations. It will then hear reports on the IOC’s latest activities and receive updates on preparations for the forthcoming Olympic Games: Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010 and London 2012.
