Trinidad and Tobago's medal haul at the Central American and Caribbean Games(CAC),in Cartagena, Colombia increased to fifteen .

Yesterday ,Josanne Lucas claimed silver in the 400m hurdles.Lucas running out of lane 1 clocked 55.60.Cuba's Daimi Pernia the 2001 world champion won the gold medal.

In the women's shot put Cleopatra Borel-Brown 18.33 heave could not repel the Cubans who claimed gold and silver.Cuba's defending Olympic champion Yumeliedi Cumba won the gold medal.T&T's Annie Alexander (15.53) finished 6Th.

In Taekwando the evergreen and courageous Cheryl-Ann Sankar marked her return from a horrific leg in jury by winning bronze in the woman's 59 kilo gramme division.Sankar broke her leg while competing at the 2003 Pan Am Games.

in other track and field news. Le Juan Simon finished 4th in the men's triple jump ( 16.33m)while Chris Hercules(15.79) placed 7th.

Marcus Duncan failed to advance in the 200m men event as did Semoy Hackett and Ayanna Hutchinson in the women's. Sheridan Kirk and Jamaal James qualified for the 800m men final , Jamaal James, a talented junior athlete ran a personal best of 1.48.62. Le Juan Simon also qualified for the men's long jump final with a jump of 7.53m. Chris Hercules(7.21) however did not advance .

In Judo Keron Bourne lost to J. Guedez of Venezuela at 1/4 final stage in the 60kg weight t category. Clifford Parris lost to A. Ortiz of Mexico also at the 1/4 final stage. While Caurdius Trotman lost to O. Cardinez of Cuba in the round of 8.

In Table Tennis Dexter St. Louis and Anthony Brown have advanced to the round of 32 in the men's singles.
