Reny Quow will line up in the men's 400m final at the Beijing Olympic Games on Thursday night.

The 20 year old Tobagonian dug deep in last night's quarter final heat three to produce a personal best time of 44.82.Even though he finished 4th.Quow advance as one of the two fastest losers.

Drawn in lane two for the final,he will have a tough assignment,six of the year's best performers will battle for Olympic hardware including the defending champion Jeremy Wariner.

The 2006 world junior champion hs joined an elite group of T&T quarter milers who have made it to an Olympic final.

The last T&T runner to qualify for an Olympic 400m final was Ian Morris who placed seventh in 1988 in the Seoul Olympic Games and then returned four years later in 1992, Barcelona, Spain to run a close fourth.

Meanwhile,In the men's 110m hurdle quarter finals Mikel Thomas did a personal best of 13.62 sec to finish in 6th position in heat one.Thomas however did not advance to the semi finals.
