Quow 7th as Merritt wins gold in 400 final

The United States LeShawn Merritt  won the Men's 400m gold medal at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, running in a personal best time of 43.75 seconds.Athen's 400 champion Jeremy Wariner took the silver in 44.80 .The Americans completed the sweep when a desparate dive by David Neville(44.80) saw him edge Bahamas' Chris Brown (44.84) for the bronze.
