The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) is set to launch its "Future is Female" programme, an initiative focused on assisting the country’s women athletes to break their Olympic medal drought.

THE AMBITION of the national governing body for athletics, the National Association of Athletics Administrators (NAAA), to develop a cadre of well-rounded, high performing junior track and field athletes, will become a reality thanks to a strategic partnership with the Elite Development and Performance Unit (EDPU) of the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago, and the National Gas Company (NGC).

T&T’S Olympic boxer Nigel Paul was a winner on the night of boxing at the Brian Lara Castle, as T&T defeated Jamaica 4-1 in a duel on Tuesday night.

Sprint cyclist Nicho­­las Paul left yesterday for Argyle, Switzerland, for the 2017 track training camp which starts tomorrow. It will be the second stint at the camp hos­ted by the sport’s go verning body, UCI.

T&T’s 2016 Olympic boxer Nigel Paul will headline an eight bout card which is a collaboration that involves LAY Management Group (LMG) and the Pearl & Bunty Lara Foundation as it hosts its second edition of the Tuesday Night Boxing at the Castle out at Brian Lara’s residence. Bell time is 7 pm.

Paul Hee Houng was on Sunday, elected the new president of the T&T Triathlon Federation (TTTF) at its annual general meeting (AGM) at the Cycling Velodrome in Couva.
